ZIM vs IND: 3rd ODI Preview – Experimental India aim whitewash

Zimbabwe and India lock horns for the third ODI of the ongoing three-match series in Harare Sports Club, Harare, on August 22, Monday. KL Rahul’s side have already clinched the series, winning the first two games. India won the first game with a thumping 10-wicket victory over the hosts, chasing a target of 190.

Deepak Chahar, on his return after a long absence from an injury, bagged three wickets and was also awarded the Player of the Match. In the second match, the Men in Blue chased down 162 within 26 overs with five wickets in hand. Pacer Shardul Thakur starred in the bowling department, scalping three wickets for 38 runs in seven overs. Sanju Samson starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 43 runs off 39 balls and took India home. The African side would look to end the series on a high and end with a win.

The Harare Sports Club wicket assisted the fast bowlers with swing and seam. India elected to bowl first in both games and went on to restrict the hosts to less than 200. It is likely that the team winning the toss would elect to bowl first again in the third ODI.
