India host practice match to prepare for WTC final
Entering the WTC final, New Zealand will have a massive advantage over the Virat Kohli-led side. The Kiwis landed in the United Kingdom way before the Indian contingent. New Zealand were involved in a two-match Test series against the England side from June 2 to June 14.
The Test series provided the Blackcaps a chance to accommodate the English conditions and get back in the rhythm. The Test series saw New Zealand scripting an iconic win over the English nation. While the first match between the two sides ended in a draw, New Zealand won the second game by eight wickets.
India, on the other hand, is relying on intra-squad practice matches and training sessions to get the players back into the groove. The Indian team management hosted a four-day practice game by dividing the entire squad into two games. One team was led by Virat Kohli while KL Rahul was named as the skipper of the other side.
