Women’s WC 2022: IND vs PAK Review – India open their account with a victory
The India Women’s cricket team started their campaign in the 2022 World Cup in stellar fashion, thrashing Pakistan by 107 runs. For India, Pooja Vastrakar played a superb knock, scoring 67 off 59 deliveries. Apart from Vastrakar, Sneh Rana and Smriti Mandhana also scored half-centuries.
In reply, the Pakistan side was nowhere in the match. The Bismah Maroof-led outfit was bowled out for a total of just 137, and none of their batters could score a half-century. The Indian bowlers were clinical. None of them leaked runs at an economy rate in excess of five runs per over, and every bowler who rolled their arm over bagged a wicket.
