Women’s WC 2022: IND vs AUS Review – Aussies pull off a record chase
Australia continued their stupendous run in the 2022 Women’s World Cup, posting their fifth consecutive victory of the tournament. The Aussies beat the Indian side by six wickets and made light work of a challenging target of 278 at Eden Park in Auckland. Australia started the run chase in stellar fashion, as their openers, Rachael Haynes and Alyssa Healy, forged a stand of 121 runs.

Harmanpreet Kaur came in and played a scintillating innings for the Indian side to propel India past the 250-run mark. She scored a blistering 57* at a strike rate over 120. The right-hander scored six boundaries in her stay and infused the Indian innings with the much-needed momentum.

- Indian legend Jhulan Goswami became the second cricketer after Mithali Raj to feature in 200 ODI matches.
2. Mithali is currently the third-highest run-getter at the World Cups. She surpassed Charlotte Edwards during her half-century on March 19. Raj has currently scored 1253 runs in World Cups.
What next for both teams?
India will next take on Bangladesh on 22nd March 2022. The Aussies, on the other hand, will clash with South Africa on the same day.
