Women’s T20 Challenge 2022: BCCI announces participating squads

The BCCI has announced the squads for the much-awaited Women’s T20 Challenge 2022. Deepti Sharma, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur shall be leading their respective sides. Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami have been rested from the 4-match tournament. MCA Stadium, Pune will host the event and it will be played from 23rd May to 28th May.

Some of the leading stars from South Africa, England, West Indies and Australia shall also feature in this Women’s tournament. Each squad comprises 16 members out of which 4 are overseas.

Harmanpreet Kaur shall lead the Supernovas which includes the likes of Taniya Bhatia, Deandra Dottin, Sophie Ecclestone, Sune Luus, Harleen Deol and others.

The Trailblazers are led by the maverick Indian opener Smriti Mandhana. Her side consists of Hayley Matthews, Jemimah Rodrigues, Poonam Yadav etc.

Deepti Sharma is at the helm of Velocity. Sneh Rana will be her deputy. India’s dashing opener, Shafali Verma is also included in the squad. Radha Yadav and Laura Wolvaardt are also present in the team.
