Women’s Premier League 2023: All you need to know

The much-awaited inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is all set to commence on March 4, 2023. The curtain raiser will witness Mumbai Indians locking horns against Gujarat Giants at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The WPL 2023 will see five teams fighting for the prestigious trophy.

The tournament will have a total of 22 matches, including the finals. The five-team competition will witness every team playing a total of eight games in the league stage – two games each against every opponent. After the 20 games of the league stage, the team finishing on top of the points table will straight way move to the final, while the teams finishing second and third will lock horns in the Eliminator to fight for a spot in the summit clash.
