WI vs IND 2nd ODI Preview
After winning the first ODI in a thriller of a contest, team India will face West Indies again at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain on July 24 (Sunday). Both teams were excellent with the bat, but the visitors held their nerves and won the first encounter. For India, the top three batters gave most of the contribution as skipper Shikhar Dhawan missed his century by just three runs. Shubman Gill also played well for his fifty.
In reply, Shai Hope failed to get going but Kyle Mayers, Shamarh Brooks, and Brandon King did some solid batting as they were close to the target but eventually fell short by three runs. They will look to redeem themselves in the second encounter.
Talking about weather and pitch, the sky is expected to be clear for the match with another high-high-scoring game on the cards. Skipper winning the toss might prefer to have a bowl first and chase the total later on.
West Indies:
Off-spinner Gudakesh Motie bowled well in his ten-over quota as he gave away 54 runs and scalped two crucial wickets. He will be looking to do some damage to the India batting order in the second encounter. The Men in Maroon are likely to stick with the same team.
