This makes him the most successful Indian captain overseas of all-time. He overtook Sourav Ganguly who had 11 Test wins as the Indian skipper outside India. This was also Kohli’s 7th Test victory outside Asia, overtaking Ganguly’s 6 wins. Kohli now has 27 wins as the Indian skipper which is the joint-most alongside his predecessor MS Dhoni.

The 318 run victory in Antigua was India’s biggest win in terms of runs in overseas conditions. The previous record was the win by 304 runs against Sri Lanka at Galle in 2017. Overall, this was India’s fourth-biggest win in terms of runs, home or away. 4 out of 5 biggest wins in the history of the Indian team have now come under the leadership of Virat Kohli.
