WI vs ENG: Jason Holder takes 4 wickets off 4 balls against England
30th January 2022 is a day that Jason Holder will not forget so easily. The tall West Indian pacer became the first-ever male West Indian cricketer to scalp a hat trick in T20I cricket and played a pivotal role in helping the West Indies beat England by 17 runs in the decider at Barbados.
The first-ever West Indian cricketer to accomplish the feat is women’s cricketer Anisa Mohammed. In fact, Holder produced an impeccable performance in the final over of the match to rattle the England batting lineup.
The right arm veteran pacer scalped four wickets in four balls in the final over as the England batters were at sea against the guile that Holder displayed with the ball in hand.

Off the second ball of the 20th over, Holder removed Chris Jordan. Jordan went for a heave over mid-wicket but hit the ball straight to the hands of the fielder in the deep. Sam Billings too, departed in a similar manner, after hitting Holder to the fielder at deep mid-wicket.
Then, came the hat trick. To a length delivery from Holder, Adil Rashid went for glory, but only managed to hit the ball down the throat of mid-wicket, and the hat trick was completed.
Holder did not stop there. The right-arm pacer bowled a full delivery to Saqib Mahmood, who missed it completely, and the ball crashed onto the stumps. Well, Holder was not the only bowler who caused trouble to the England batters.
