WI vs BAN: Top 5 performers from ODI Series
Bangladesh toured West Indies for two Test matches, three T20Is, and three ODIs. West Indies whitewashed the visitors in the Test series last month, and won the T20I series 2-0, earlier in the month. Bangladesh, led by Tamim Iqbal, returned the favour by completing a whitewash over the hosts in the ODI series on July 16.
It was a fitting way to end the tour for the Tigers, as Tamim announced his T20I retirement shortly afterwards. Bangladesh won the first ODI by six wickets, chasing a target of 150. In the second game, the visitors chased a small target of 109 with nine wickets in hand. In the final ODI, Tamim’s side chased down 179 with four wickets in hand.

5) Nicholas Pooran
The Windies skipper scored 91 runs in three innings at an average of 30.33 with a top score of 73. He finished as the top scorer for his team and the second-highest overall, in the series. He also scalped two wickets in 15.3 overs with an economy rate of 5.87, finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker for Windies in the series.
4) Taijul Islam
The left-arm orthodox spinner, Taijul Islam, was the Player of the Match in the third match, finishing with figures of five wickets for 28 runs in 10 overs with two maidens. He finished as the third-highest wicket-taker in the series with five wickets at an average of 5.60 and an economy rate of 2.80.
3) Gudakesh Motie
Left-arm orthodox spinner Gudakesh Motie is the only Windies bowler in the list of top-five wicket-takers for the series. He picked up six wickets at an average of 13.33 and a strike rate of 26.6, with an economy rate of 3.00. He picked up four wickets for 23 runs with two maiden overs in the third ODI.
2) Mehidy Hasan
Bangladesh’s off-spinning all-rounder Mehidy Hasan was arguably the best bowler of the series. He picked up seven wickets, which is the most in the series, at an average of 18.00, a strike rate of 21.4, and an economy rate of 5.04. He got three wickets for 36 runs in the first ODI and was named the Player of the Match. He got four wickets for 29 runs in the next game. He also scored an unbeaten 16 in the last ODI to ensure a victory for the team.

The Bangladesh skipper was the Player of the Series and also the highest run-getter of the series. He scored 117 runs in three innings at an average of 58.50 and with a top score of 50 not out, which was scored in the second ODI. He scored 33 runs off 25 balls in the first game and 34 runs off 52 balls in the final ODI.
