When you say CSK, you think of MS Dhoni: Faf du Plessis
The three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) signed off from the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) in style as they defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 9 wickets in their last league match at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. With this victory, the Yellow Army also crushed the hopes of KXIP to cement a place in the Top 4 and ensured that they didn’t finish at the bottom of the points table.
Apart from CSK’s win against KXIP, there was another news that left the Thala fans ecstatic. While speaking to Danny Morrison during toss time, the former Indian captain had said “Definitely Not”, with his convincing smile after being asked if this was his last game for the yellow army after CSK won the toss and he opted to bowl first.
This was a big relief for all the CSK fans as many felt that this will be the last time MS will don the Yellow jersey and will announce his retirement from the cash-rich league. Dhoni had abruptly decided to end his glorious international career in August 2020 by taking retirement. However, giving a rest to all the speculations, Dhoni cleared that he would be seen flaunting the yellow jersey again next year.

Discussing the big announcement made by the former Indian captain, CSK pacer Lungi Ngidi and swashbuckling batsman Faf du Plessis took a sly dig at the presenter Danny Morrison for asking about Dhoni’s retirement. The two South African players further spoke about the importance MS holds in the Super Kings contingent.
“We heard MS make a comment bit earlier. He was asked a question if this was the last time, he was donning the yellow jersey and I think his reply put him in his place,” Ngidi said while speaking to compatriot Du Plessis in a video posted on IPL’s Twitter handle.
“I think Danny just had a setback after that,” Du Plessis chimed in.
Speaking about what MS means to CSK and IPL, Faf reckoned, “When you say CSK, you think of MS Dhoni and also the IPL needs MS Dhoni to play. Such a big player. The fans love him so much,”
