When Rishabh Pant comes to bat in a Test match, I am watching: Tymal Mills
Rishabh Pant can hold the viewer in thrall. Pant is a cricketer who takes the attack to the opposition and also has an array of resplendent strokes in his batting armory. And, left-arm pacer Tymal Mills has showered his praise on Pant.
The England cricketer stated that he plays only white-ball cricket and does not play the longest format of the game due to injuries. Mills even said that he does not like to watch Test cricket.
However, the left-arm pacer said that when Rishabh Pant comes to the crease, he tunes in to watch a Test match. Mills added that Pant makes Test cricket a box office hit and opined that the Indian wicket-keeper has the ability to make people watch the match.
“I only play white-ball cricket, I don’t play four-day cricket due to injuries. In general, I don’t like watching traditional Test cricket but when Rishabh Pant comes to bat in a Test match, I am watching. It’s exciting isn’t it, its box office, it makes you want to watch the TV,” said Mills as quoted by Hindustan Times.
“I like entertaining cricket,” says Tymal Mills
Tymal Mills further added that Rishabh Pant also played a couple of extremely eye-catching knocks as well. Stating that he likes to see entertaining cricket, Mills concluded by saying that he enjoyed the Test series between India and England that took place earlier this year.
“He played a couple of eye-catching innings which was good to see. I like entertaining cricket. Even that first pitch in Ahmedabad when it was turning square, I liked it because there was something happening every ball. I personally really enjoyed the Test series,” concluded Mills.
Rishabh Pant will next wear the white flannels for the Indian side in the summit clash of the World Test Championship (WTC) between India and New Zealand. The match will take place at Southampton and will commence on 18th June 2021.
Pant has been in scintillating form in Test match cricket in 2021 and has scored 515 runs in just 10 innings at an average of 64.38. He has also scored a hundred and 4 fifties this year as well.
