WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen involved in a heated banter
The second Test match between South Africa and India is hanging in balance and the players are giving their best to help their team. In the process, things have certainly heated up in the middle. India skipper KL Rahul was seen debating with Dean Elgar late on Day 2 and on the third day, Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen were in the middle of the action.
It all happened in the 54th over of the innings. The left-arm seamer delivered a bouncer first up which Bumrah was expecting and looked to smack it out of the ground. But the ball thudded into his shoulder. A similar delivery came up next and again there was no connection between bat and ball. Jansen stared at the batter and so did Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah continued to take on the short ball and once again the ball hit his shoulder and the staring game continued. However, the real action followed on the next delivery as Bumrah couldn’t connect yet another Jansen’s bowler and even as the stare game continued, the bowler said something to the batter. And this spurred on the stand-in India vice-captain as he called up Jansen and there was a heated banter between the two.
The umpires and the players had to intervene to separate them. Jasprit Bumrah also had something to tell to South Africa skipper Dean Elgar about the incident.

Jasprit Bumrah hits Rabada for a six again
For all the action and swinging, Bumrah couldn’t open his account in that over. However, when his turn came to face Kagiso Rabada, he decided to go bonkers against him and finally connected one short ball. The ball took the top-edge of the bat but the pace on it meant the red cherry travelled for a massive six. Bumrah’s enterprising stay though ended soon with Jansen only taking his catch while he was on 7.
