Virat Kohli will take India to a series win in England: Yuzvendra Chahal
India will rub shoulder against England in a five-match Test series commencing on August 04. The series is all set to mark the beginning of the 2021-23 cycle of the World Test Championship. In the same context, India’s ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has pitched in with his views and backed India to win the England series.
Chahal, who was part of India’s squad that stood up against Sri Lanka in the island nation is confident of Kohli leading the side to a series win. The spinner believes that the vising nation would be instilled with great confidence owing to their thumping performance in Australia recently.
“This series will be so exciting. I see India as the favorites to win the series. We are high on confidence after defeating Australia in their own backyard. I am sure that Virat bhaiya will take India to a series win in England,” said Chahal in an interview with TimesofIndia.com.
The leggie went on to add that India has all its bases covered and wouldn’t look low in any department of the game. He believes that India have batsmen that can change the momentum of the game at any time along with the bowlers who can chip in with crucial breakthroughs. The show by Indian mainstays would definitely play a vital role in the result of the high-profile series.

“We have bowlers who can get breakthroughs at any time. We have Virat bhaiya, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit bhaiya, and Rishabh who are in great form. In bowling, we have Bumrah, Shami bhaiya, and Ishant bhaiya. Ashwin and Jadeja are also there. So, we have a strong side to win the series in England with,” Chahal concluded.
India would be expected to take the field with a little different approach after their last dismal outing in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand in Southampton.
