Virat Kohli is one of the best, I’m excited for our face-off: James Anderson

India will be up against England for a five-match Test series which is set to commence on August 04. India has always struggled against the quality seamers of England and it will be a thing to see if India will be able to dominate this time around on that front. In the same context, England’s ace pacer James Anderson opened up on facing Indian skipper Virat Kohli again.

When Anderson was questioned about facing Kohli in the coming series, he added that he is quite excited for the face-off and knows what influence Kohli has on his team. He even added that it is not important that he only gets his wicket, anybody else in the team can too. However, he stated that it is always good to face him on the pitch.

“He always wants to play big against the bowlers and it’s great to face that challenge. I know he has a big influence on the team, both as a captain and as a batsman. Really excited for the face-off and challenge against one of the best in the world and I don’t mind if I take his wicket or somebody else does. Excited for the face-off,” said Anderson as in the presser before the opening Test.

We are definitely much better prepared than we have been in the past: Virat Kohli

Talking about Virat Kohli, he added that the team is well prepared than before moving into the high-profile series but it will all boil down to their execution. India last won the series in England in 2007 when Rahul Dravid went for big numbers and it will be a thing to see how India will unfold their action this time around.

“We are definitely much better prepared than we have been in the past. But you can have all the experience in the world but it all boils down to execution, as long as we embrace that, we will find the answers to every question that is being thrown at us,” said Virat Kohli in the presser ahead of the Test series.
