Virat Kohli guides KL Rahul during net session in Adelaide
Senior batter KL Rahul’s form has been subjected to massive criticism as the 30-year-old has managed to score only 22 runs so far in the T20 World Cup. He showed glimpses of his form against Australia in the practice match but ever since, failed to help India give the start that they desperately needed. Thus, after losing to South Africa, his position in the starting XI is being questioned by many, especially with Rishabh Pant waiting in the wings.
Amidst all these, former India captain Virat Kohli was seen spending some time with KL Rahul and guiding him during India’s net session at the Adelaide. The duo spent a lot of time in the nets and was also spotted having a lengthy chat in the middle. Later batting coach Vikram Rathour and mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton were also seen talking to KL Rahul.
Later in the day, the 33-year-old was also spotted giving some advice to KL Rahul on his batting stance and footwork. Meanwhile, team India had to train indoors after rain affected their practice session on Tuesday.
