Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21: Top five performers from the one-day tournament
The Vijay Hazare Trophy once again provided several incredible moments for the fans to cherish. There were some resplendent knocks, amazing bowling spells and some nerve-tingling matches as well. And in the end, it was the Mumbai side that emerged as the winner, beating Uttar Pradesh by 6 wickets in the summit clash. On that note, let us take a look at the Top 5 performers of the 2021 Vijay Hazare trophy.

Ravikumar Samarth had an excellent run with the bat in the 2021 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The right-handed batsman scored 613 runs in the tournament, and scored them at a whopping average of 122.60 and a strike rate of 105.32. In the 7 innings that Samarth played, he plundered 3 centuries and 2 fifties. In fact, his scintillating run of form played an important role in Karnataka reaching the semi final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
4. Arzan Nagwaswalla
At the 4th place, we have Gujarat bowler Arzan Nagwaswalla. The left arm pacer was in scintillating form with the ball throughout the tournament, and picked up 19 wickets from just 7 matches at a miserly average of 13.94. His best performance in the tournament was the 6/54 that he scalped against the Chhattisgarh outfit. Nagwaswalla’s excellent bowling spell helped his side to win the match with 3 wickets and 11 deliveries to spare.
3. Shivam Sharma
Shivam Sharma grabs the third place in the list. The crafty left-arm spinner emerged as the highest wicket-taker of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Sharma picked up 21 wickets in the tournament, and took them at an amazing average of 16.90. In fact, his stunning spell of 7/31 against the Bihar side will go down as the best bowling performance of the tournament. Sharma gobbled up the entire middle order of the Bihar outfit, and helped his side to thrash the opposition with 5 wickets and 22 overs to spare.
2. Devdutt Padikkal

The second place in the list is bagged by Devdutt Padikkal. The Karnataka batsman lorded over the bowlers in the 2021 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and accumulated some glittering numbers with the willow in hand. Padikkal amassed 737 runs from just 7 innings and scored his runs at a gargantuan average of 147.40. Padikkal’s best knock in the Vijay Hazare Trophy was the 140 ball 152 that he plundered against Odisha. The left hander’s innings was studded with 14 fours and 5 sixes, and he helped his side to thrash the opposition by 101 runs.

He played 8 innings in the 2021 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored 827 runs, averaged 165.40, and scored his runs at a whopping strike rate of 138.29. And these are numbers that any batsman would be proud of. In the 8 innings that he has played, Shaw has scored 4 centuries (including a double ton) and a fifty. Shaw’s 227* against Puducherry will go down as one of the greatest knocks ever played by an Indian batsman in domestic cricket. The Mumbai skipper scored 31 fours and 5 sixes in his 152-ball classic, and helped his side thrash the opposition by a colossal margin of 233 runs. Needless to say, Shaw was the best performer in this year’s edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
