Veda Krishnamurthy’s mother passes away due to Covid-19
On April 24, Indian Women’s cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy received a jolt when her mother succumbed to Covid-19.
Veda took to Twitter to thank everyone for the messages she was receiving. She also confirmed that she had tested negative and that prayers were in order for her elder sister, who had tested positive.
Appreciate all the messages I have received about the loss of my Amma. As you can imagine my family is lost without her. We now pray for my sister. I have tested negative & appreciate if you can respect our privacy. My thoughts & prayers go out to those going through the same!!

Apart from going through personal crisis, Veda has been actively helping amplify requests for beds, oxygen and other essential requirements to fight Covid-19 on Twitter.
