Under-19 Asia Cup: Top five performers
While the Under-19 Asia Cup 2021 has come to an end, the Indian U19 team has ended up fittingly winning the tournament. It is safe to say that this edition was as exciting as it could get. While several players from several teams showcased their skills, there were a few who stood out. So who are the best performers of the tournament? Today we shall be taking a look at the top five performers of U19 Asia Cup 2021.
5) DN Wellalage:
Barring Zameer, no other bowler was able to pick more wickets than him in this edition of the U19 Asia Cup. While he took 10 wickets in five games, his bowling average and strike rate in the tournament were 13.70 and 19.8 respectively. His economy rate was decent as well (4.15).

4) Prantik Nawrose Nabil:
The Bangladesh batter certainly has a bright future ahead of him. In fact, his consistency is what propelled Bangladesh U19 to the semi-final. In the four games in which he played, he scored 189 runs. His batting average and strike rate were 63.00 and 100.00 respectively. This includes a hundred as well.
3) Zeeshan Zameer:
Despite his team getting knocked out in the semi-final, Zeeshan Zameer had a tournament to remember. With 11 wickets in three games, he was the leading wicket-taker of the U19 Asia Cup 2021. Besides, he took four wickets in the semi-final as well.
2) Harnoor Singh:

Harnoor Singh scored the most number of runs in this edition of the U19 Asia Cup. As a matter of fact, he played a huge role in India’s title-winning campaign. The batter scored 251 runs, which included a fifty, as well as a hundred.
1) Meet Bhavsar:
Meet Bhavsar managed to set the tournament on fire. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that the captain of U19 Kuwait was scoring runs for fun. While he scored 243 runs in three innings at an average of 121.50, his unbeaten 175 against Nepal U19 was a knock for ages. During that knock he single-handedly saw his team through as the second-highest score from his team that day was 25!
