Viewership of Test matches significantly went down after the introduction of T20 matches. After all, white-ball games last some hours, and the games never tend to slow down. On the other hand, a Test match is a five-day affair. In order to increase the popularity of the purest format, the International Cricket Council (ICC) brought Day-Night Test matches into the picture.
While this new version of the longest format changed many dynamics, fans were intrigued to see how the games unfold. Instead of the red ball, a pink ball is used in D/N Tests due to visibility issues. Also, batting under the floodlights is an altogether different challenge. Marnus Labuschagne – 81.50
Labuschagne has indeed made a name for himself in the last couple of years. The youngster possesses a solid temperament that helps him deliver in any situation. As a result, he averages over 60 after playing just 18 Test matches. Labuschagne also likes to tackle the pink cherry as he slammed 489 runs in four games at an average of 81.50. He also slammed two centuries in these games.
Darren Bravo – 101.50
Although Darren Bravo might not be a regular face in the West Indies Test team lately, he made his bat talk in his only appearance in a Day-Night Test match. It was the first game of the 2016 Test series featuring the West Indies and Pakistan in Dubai. After scoring a fighting 87 in the second innings, the southpaw slammed a sensational hundred in the fourth innings. In total, he scored 203 runs in the game and his average reads 101.50.
