Murali Vijay has the fourth-highest individual score in the Playoffs in the IPL. The right-handed batter struck 113 off 58, which included 15 fours and four maximums for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2012. CSK batted first at their home ground in Chennai and posted 222/5 thanks to Vijay’s ton and won the match by 86 runs to enter the finals.
Wriddhiman Saha (115)
Wriddhiman Saha became the first batter to smash a century in the IPL final when he scored an unbeaten 115 off just 55 with ten fours and eight sixes for Punjab Kings (PBKS) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2014 in Bangalore. Shane Watson became the second batter after Saha to hit a ton in the finals as the Australian played a memorable knock of unbeaten 117 off 57 with 11 fours and eight maximums for CSK against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2018 final in Mumbai. Chasing 179, Watson shattered the dreams of SRH who were looking to lift their second trophy as he made a mockery of the target to finish the game in 18.3 overs and win the third title then for CSK.
Virender Sehwag (122)
Veteran Indian player Virender Sehwag holds the record for the highest individual score in the Playoffs. He slammed 122 off 58 with12 fours and eight sixes for PBKS against CSK in Qualifier 2 in 2014. PBKS posted a mammoth 226/6 courtesy of Sehwag’s ton and eventually won by 24 runs to enter the finals.
