Former Indian captain MS Dhoni holds the record for most dismissals by an Indian wicketkeeper. Dhoni made his debut for India in December 2004 against Bangladesh. He announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020.

2. Adam Gilchrist (905 dismissals) – Australia

Former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist is second on the list of wicketkeepers with most dismissals in an international career. He played 396 matches for Australia after making his international debut in October 1996 against South Africa. Gilchrist was a part of the Australian team that won the ODI World Cup in 1999, 2003 and 2007. He took 813 catches and completed 92 catches.

1. Mark Boucher (998 dismissals) – South Africa

Mark Boucher holds the record of completing the most dismissals in international cricket. Boucher made his international debut in a Test match in October 1997 against Pakistan. He was forced to announce his retirement in 2012 after he was hit in the eye by a bail during a warm-up game on a tour to England. Boucher finished with 998 dismissals in his career – 952 catches and 46 stumpings.
