The Extras: Hasan Ali’s moves, ‘female’ Rohit, Rahane’s fleets

The Extras

This past week, the Indian cricketing and film fraternity mourned the death of one of their brightest stars, Sushant Singh Rajput. Fans of the late actor have been feeling morose ever since the news of his demise broke. While incidents like these are hard to deal with, the world of social media has been spreading some smiles every now and then. In this week’s edition of the ‘Extras’, here’s some positive and happy news:

Shahid Afridi shares health update

Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi recently announced on social media that he was tested positive for coronavirus. Before being detected, Afridi was seen distributing essential items in the COVID-19 affected areas of Pakistan. Soon after being tested, the cricketer went into self-quarantine and shared an update on his improving health in this latest video. We wish ‘Lala’ a speedy recovery!

Chahal trolls good friend Rohit

Social media is abuzz with a new trend these days, called the ‘female versions of male cricketers’. Cricket fans have been circulating many such pictures amongst themselves, providing a hearty laugh to all. However, one such picture seems to have caught the eye of the notorious Yuzvendra Chahal on Twitter. The spinner wasted no time in pulling the leg of his good friend and teammate, Rohit Sharma. This picture definitely looks funny!

Rahane tries out ‘Fleets’

India batsman and Test vice-captain recently posted this interesting picture of him with Mumbai teammate Rohit Sharma. Rahane asked his fans to caption the image and said that the best one would go up on ‘Fleets’ – a new feature similar to Instagram’s ‘Stories’ rolled out by Twitter.

The responses were hilarious, and Rahane’s pic instantly became a meme material for the Twitterati.

We reckon Rahane would’ve had a tough time choosing a winner!

Warner’s fan appreciation

This list is incomplete without the mention of David Warner and his antics on Instagram. In the second phase of his obsession, the cricketer seems to have dialled down the crazy. His latest video shows a stunning artwork created by one of his fans.
