The entire Pakistan is ready to welcome Australia: Mohammad Rizwan
Australia are all set for a historic tour to Pakistan in March-April 2022 which will consist of three Tests and as many ODIs with one-off T20I. The significance of this tour is considerably high given that Australia will touring the Asian country after 24 long years. In the same line of events, Pakistan’s ace batter Mohammad Rizwan added that he is quite happy to know positive statements from Australia cricketers regarding this tour and that they are ready to welcome them.
It has to be noted that all three Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championship while ODIs will form part of the World Cup Super League. In this case, Rizwan added that their entire nation is pretty excited about this tour and that both nations share a good bond.
“I can feel ripples of excitement for Australia’s tour of Pakistan. I have read some very positive remarks from the stakeholders in Australia about the tour to Pakistan. The entire nation of Pakistan is ready to welcome Australia for the historic tour after 24 years,” said Rizwan to PCB digital.
Rizwan went on to add that a fine bond between Australia and Pakistan will boost the excitement and thrill around this tour. Australian cricketers like Usman Khawaja play the PSL whereas Matthew Hayden was batting consultant for the men in green in T20 WC 2021 and all of this has strengthened the bond between the two nations.

Australian cricketers like Usman Khawaja participate in the HBL PSL, and our players (Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Hasnain) were recently featured in the KFC Big Bash League 2021-22. This further strengthens the bond between the two countries.
“Matthew Hayden, who was the batting consultant of Pakistan cricket team for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, passionately shared his views about Pakistan. Similarly, the love and admiration in Justin Langer, head coach of Australia, eyes were prominent for Pakistan when I met him at the semi-final of the global event in Dubai,” he added.
Towards the end, the ace batter reflected on the competitiveness of the tour and stated Australia as a strong side. However, he added that their preparation is well up to the mark.
“Australia has recently won the Ashes and they are a strong side, but we have also had a tremendous year and have shined brightly across all formats. These two teams make the perfect recipe for a thrilling and exciting series,” he concluded
