T20 WC 2022: Five youngsters to watch out for

As the 2022 T20 World Cup’s first round has taken off to a flying start, several young cricketers will also be looking to announce themselves on the global stage. Ahead of the main round of the mega event, here are five young players who you must keep an eye on. Let us begin:

5. Naseem Shah (Pakistan)

Pakistan’s express pacer Naseem Shah proved to be more than handy during the last concluded T20 Asia Cup. Naseem bowled with a lot of aggression and skill and got the results in his favour. The speedster might like bowling on the pacy Australian tracks and help his side to win games.

4. Arshdeep Singh (India)

In the absence of their ace-pacer Jasprit Bumrah, team India will want Arshdeep Singh to step forward and take crucial wickets for his team. The left-arm pacer has shown his death bowling abilities while playing in IPL or for India. Arshdeep will be a player to watch out for in the upcoming competition.

3. Harry Brook (England)

Talented batter Harry Brook has performed immensely well in a such short span of his T20I career. The right-handed batter showed his true colours in a T20I series against Pakistan where he struck 238 runs at an outstanding average of 79.33 along with a strike rate of 163.01.

2. Pathum Nissanka (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lanka’s opening batter Pathum Nissanka will look to be the top run-getter for his side and help his side to win the games with his batting. Nissanka can play long innings and he is very destructive against spin bowling. Nissanka will like to have a good outing in the upcoming competition.

1.  Tristan Stubbs (South Africa)

South Africa’s dasher Tristan Stubbs comes at the number one position in this list as he can do a great deal of damage with his bat during the death overs. Stubbs has played some short but meaningful knocks for South Africa in his short career and he will be looking to have a good outing in the upcoming tournament.
