Speaking of unbeaten runs, Australia will once again bid for a challenge to lift the T20 World Cup, a trophy that is missing from their cabinet. Having said that, these two teams have previously given fans several matches to remember and this could just be another one of those.
Match Info
Pakistan vs Australia, 2nd Semi-Final
Venue: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
Date and time: November 11, 7:30 PM IST
Head to head:
In the T20 World Cups, these two teams have met six times with each winning three contests. Interestingly, Australia had won the only knockout round match between them back in 2010. It was a semi-final game that swung mostly Pakistan’s way until Australia stole the honours in a thrilling style towards the death overs.
Team News:
Pakistan: In terms of team selections, Pakistan have been the most consistent. Since their very first game, they have stuck to the same team and have made no changes to their side. Heading into this game as well, they will not think about making any change. There are no injury worries as well and all the key pieces of the jigsaw puzzle seem to be falling at the right place and at the right time. They should be unchanged.
Australia: Apart from dropping Mitchell Marsh for Ashton Agar for the England game, Australia have been fairly consistent with their playing XI in this tournament. They don’t have any injury concerns as well which should keep them in good stead heading into this important match. Marsh at no. 3 has been a fairly good choice, which is possibly the only conundrum they have. They should be unchanged.
