T Natarajan over the moon after setting up ‘Natarajan Cricket Ground’
Indian fast bowler T Natarajan has had a meteoric rise in his cricket career over the last 12 months. Back in India’s tour of Australia in 2020-21, the left-arm pacer forayed into international cricket. The speedster went on to make his debut in all three formats. He rose to the occasion for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates.
Thereafter, the national selectors took note of his performances and gave him a chance to represent the national team on its overseas tour. Natarajan didn’t let his team down by any means and he made the ball talk and churned our Yorkers with relative ease.
In the meantime, the 30-year-old announced that he’s setting up his own cricket ground, named the ‘Natarajan Cricket Ground’. He also expressed gratitude after having played for Team India across all three formats.
T Natarajan’s post
Earlier this year, Natarajan also drew praises from Kane Williamson, the skipper of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. The captain was amazed by the pacer’s performance and lauded him for coming up the ranks at a brisk pace.
“Natarajan is just an amazing guy. What a fantastic IPL tournament he has had. And the opportunities and the doors that opened for him just week by week as he ended up playing the Gabba Test and what a famous victory that was for India.
“You know (this is) just an incredible time in his life and I appreciate, I suppose, to have some involvement just being his team-mate in the last IPL and some of the years before,” Williamson was quoted as saying.
In one Test, two ODIs and four T20Is, Natarajan has picked up 13 wickets. He recently played for Tamil Nadu in the previous edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
