Suresh Raina set to feature in Lanka Premier League 2023 player auction
Batting icon, Suresh Raina is all set to entertain in the upcoming edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Former CSK batter will go under the hammer during LPL’s first-ever player auction.
The former Indian middle-order batter, who is one of the most prolific run-scorers in IPL history, reportedly signed up for the fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) auction at a base price of USD 50,000. He features in the list of international cricketers, released by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), set to go under the hammer.
In the Legends League Cricket, Raina, 36, was last seen in action. Notably, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in September 2022. Raina will join Irfan Pathan as one of the few renowned Indian cricketers to have played in the league.
The left-hander was the first Indian cricketer to have scored a century across all three formats of the game and played an important role in India’s 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy triumphs.
