Suresh Raina follows MS Dhoni’s lead, announces retirement

Following his Chennai Super Kings captain, Suresh Raina has also announced his retirement from cricket over Instagram. The left-handed batsman was India’s centurion in T20I cricket and also had struck a century on his Test debut. Raina shared the following post via his official Instagram handle following MS Dhoni’s major announcement.

“It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!”, said Raina.

The 33-year old left-handed batsman from Uttar Pradesh featured in 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is for India while scoring around 8,000 international runs with seven centuries. Raina had a glittering career with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. His last appearance for India was in an ODI against England at Leeds on 18th July 2018.
