Skyexch set to be the title sponsor for Road Safety World Series Season 2
Skyexch comes in as the title sponsor for Road Safety World Series (RSWS) Season 2 which is scheduled to get underway on September 10, 2022, with Green Park Stadium in Kanpur hosting the first seven games of the season. For commercial reasons, the series will now be called the Skyexch Road Safety World Series.
“The Road Safety World Series has been a unique tournament with its mix of social cause message and clash of international veterans of the cricket world. Skyexch.net has always been supportive of cricket and is proving it this time once again as title sponsor of the RSWS 2022 series,” said Ian Michael Viner, Managing Director of Skyinfotech Ltd, which owns Skyexch.
Welcoming Skyexch’s decision to come in as the title sponsor of RSWS Season 2, Sanjay Bector, Chairman of 27th Sports, the exclusive marketing rights partner of the Series, said: “It is a big boost to the ecosystem with new brands like Skyexch deep diving to associate with an event which is not just about the game and the Legends who are playing here but a movement to save lives.”
“It also shows the evolving mindset of brands that are looking beyond just commercial tie-ups and engaging in events with a social cause and broader implications towards humanity,” Paul Slatter, Commercial Director at 27th Sports, added.
The RSWS is played primarily to create awareness about road safety in the country and around the globe. The aim of the Road Safety World Series is to drive social change in the country and change people’s outlook towards road safety. As cricket is the most followed sport in the country and cricketers are looked upon as idols, this league will work as an ideal platform to influence and change people’s mindset towards their behaviour on the roads. The Road Safety World Series (RSWS) is supported by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Ministry of Information & Technology, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
The star-studded India Legends, led by Sachin Tendulkar, also have the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, and Yusuf Pathan, to name a few. The second edition of the RSWS has attracted a string of superstars like Jonty Rhodes, Lance Klusener and Makhaya Ntini from South Africa; Ian Bell, Nick Crompton and Matt Prior from England; Tilakratne Dilshan, Sanath Jayasuriya and Thisara Perrera from Sri Lanka; Brian Lara, Dwayne Smith and Darren Powell from the West Indies; Shane Watson, Brett Lee, Brad Hodge, Brad Haddin, Stuart Clark and Cameron White from Australia; and Ross Taylor, Shane Bond, Craig McMillan, Kyle Mills and Jacob Oram from New Zealand.
Matches will be live on Colors Cineplex, Colors Cineplex Superhits and the newly launched Sports18 Khel, while it will be digitally streamed on VOOT and Jio. Match tickets are available online through India’s leading ticketing platform, bookmyshow.
