Shubman Gill reacts after receiving Mahindra Thar from Anand Mahindra

Industrialist Anand Mahindra has been on a giving spree to Indian cricketers. The Chairman of the Mahindra Group had earlier presented a Mahindra Thar SUV to the likes of Thangarasu Natarajan and Shardul Thakur in the month of January. And now, the latest beneficiary of Mahindra’s benevolence is the upcoming Indian cricketer Shubman Gill.

Anand Mahindra has gifted a Mahindra Thar to Gill as well. Even though Gill was not personally present to receive this gift directly, he took to Twitter to thank Anand Mahindra for the gesture.

Gill also added that playing for India is an honor for him and he will continue to strive and give his best whenever he walks out onto the field.

Shubman Gill has been in decent form in IPL 2021

Shubman Gill is plying his trade with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Even though he has not set the tournament ablaze with the willow yet, Gill has got starts in all the three matches that he has played in the 14th IPL edition. Gill’s scores in the 3 innings that he has played read 15,33 and 21.

Also, in the previous edition of the IPL, Gill was in excellent form. The opening batsman plundered 440 runs in the 13th edition of the IPL and scored his runs at an average of 33.85. He also scored 3 half-centuries in the 2020 IPL edition that was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The stylish right-hander experienced a scintillating start to his Test career in Australia. In the 6 innings that he played in the land of the kangaroos in his debut Test series, Gill plundered 259 runs at an excellent average of 51.80. He also played a pivotal role in India’s victory at The Gabba in Brisbane and scored a splendid 91 in the second innings.

Gill has till now featured in 44 IPL matches in his career and has scored 1008 runs at an average of 32.52. He will next be seen in action on 21st April 2021 against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
