Shreyas Iyer tweets a heartwarming video for his IPL teammates
The Delhi Capitals (DC) will play their first match of the 2021 edition of the IPL on 10th April 2021 against the mighty Chennai Super Kings (CSK). But then, the Delhi outfit will be without their regular skipper Shreyas Iyer.
Iyer dislocated his shoulder during the first ODI between India and England that was held in the month of March. And now, Iyer has posted a heartwarming video on Twitter for the Delhi side.
Iyer stated in the video that he is speaking as a fan of the Delhi Capitals. Adding that the fight will not be easy, Iyer opined that the Delhi Capitals have what it takes to win the 2021 IPL title. Iyer further said that the Delhi outfit has worked extremely hard, and concluded by stating that in every game, the Delhi Capitals will have him in their corner.
“Dear Delhi. I speak to you today as a fellow fan of the team we love. We fight the same fight, we always did. We know it won’t be easy, but we know we’ve got what it takes to raise the cup. We have worked hard, harder than before. We have put in the yards, harder than before. And the best part, we go beyond than just a team. Make no mistake about it. Every ball, every game, you will have me in your corner. Your biggest supporter, with the loudest cheer. Come on Delhi, Roar macha. Love always, Shreyas,” said an emotional Iyer in the video.
