Shikhar Dhawan visits Mahakaleshwar Temple for India’s success
India veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple ahead of team India’s campaign in the eagerly-anticipated 2023 ODI World Cup. Despite not making the cut in India’s World Cup squad, Dhawan wished for the national team’s victory at the big-ticket event while making his prayers at the temple.
Dhawan, who was present along with Indian film superstar Akshay Kumar, were seen offering his prayers at Mahakaleshwar Temple. “Everyone’s wish is that India wins the World Cup & I have also asked for the same wish,” Dhawan’s prayers at Mahakaleshwar Temple.
Notably, the All-India Senior Men’s Selection Committee announced the 15-member squad that will take part in the marquee ICC event. The think tank decided to retain the core squad from the Asia Cup instead of making too many changes for the big-ticket event.
However, notable players such as the likes of Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Yuzvendra Chahal among others, failed to obtain a place in the setup. In addition to this, Prasidh Krishna and Tilak Varma, who are a part of India’ squad in the ACC event too will not take part in the World Cup.
