Shehan Jayasuriya not to represent Sri Lanka anymore; moves to USA
There is grim news is awaiting you if you are a fan of Sri Lankan cricket. Left-handed batsman Shehan Jayasuriya has reportedly informed the Sri Lankan Cricket Board that henceforth, he will not be offering his services for Sri Lanka, in domestic or international cricket as he is shifting to the United States of America (USA), along with his family.
After making his debut in the year 2015, Jayasuriya has had a stop-start career at the international level for the Islanders. He featured in 12 ODI’s and 18 T20Is for Sri Lanka. While he scored 195 runs in ODI cricket, Jayasuriya scored 241 runs in the shortest format of the game.
Jayasuriya also occasionally bowls off-spin and has picked up three wickets each in ODI and T20Is. He has not represented Sri Lanka in Test match cricket. The Twitter handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC), confirmed Jayasuriya’s departure.
