Shane Watson to play for Khulna Titans in BPL
Former Australia captain and all-rounder Shane Watson has signed up for Khulna Titans, the Bangladesh Premier League T20 franchise for their 2019-20 season. The Titans officials confirmed Watson is one of their direct overseas signings for the upcoming edition of the tournament.
The explosive all-rounder is expected to be available for the entire duration of the tournament, whose seventh season is slated to begin in December this year. The Titans, who were the bottom-placed team in the BPL last year, will be boosted by Watson’s addition. In a tweet posted by the Titans, the veteran Aussie is seen expressing his excitement at joining the team and hopes he can help turn their team’s fortunes around this time.

Despite calling time on his international career nearly three years ago, the 38-yeard old continues to be a T20 globetrotter and has found enormous success in the shortest format of the game.
Earlier in 2019, he announced his retirement from Australia’s Big Bash League, ending his fruitful four-year association with the Sydney Thunder as their all-time highest run-scorer. He had a successful outing for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League, finishing as the leading run-getter and guided the franchise to the title this year. Then he entered the IPL, scoring 398 runs in 17 matches for the Chennai Super Kings. With a valiant 80 in the final against the Mumbai Indians, an injured Watson almost got CSK over the line.
