In another post, sharing candid pictures of the pair celebrating with guests and signing papers to make the marriage official, the Aussie all-rounder wrote, “A day we will never forget.” Abbott’s Indian Premier League (IPL) team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) also congratulated their player, “A special day in our #Riser’s life. Abbott made his Australia debut in October 2014 against Pakistan in Dubai. He has played in five ODIs, picking up three wickets and scoring 98 runs, and eight T20Is, picking up five wickets and scoring 17 runs. He made his international comeback in 2019 against Pakistan in a T20I game after five years, and last appeared for Australia in April on the Pakistan tour.
Abbott was one of the picks of the Aussie bowlers in his last T20I game on April 5 in Lahore, as he finished with figures of one wicket for 28 runs in four overs. Australia went on to win that game by three wickets and five balls to spare, chasing a target of 163. However, he had an ordinary ODI series on the tour as he picked up only one wicket in three matches, conceding 125 runs with an economy rate of 6.57. He appeared in one match in the IPL 2022 and picked one wicket for 47 runs in four overs.
