Sachin Tendulkar tweets congratulatory message for son Arjun Tendulkar
After a gap of 10 years, the Wankhede crowd could see a Tendulkar playing in Mumbai Indians colours. One of the biggest names in world cricket and arguably the most prominent in Mumbai’s famed cricketing history, Sachin Tendulkar had last played for Mumbai Indians in 2013, the same year when the team won its first of the five IPL trophies. After almost a decade, Sachin’s son Arjun Tendulkar made his debut for the same franchise at the same ground where his father had scored his last international runs.
At this iconic juncture where the Tendulkar-duo became the first ever father-son pair to feature in the IPL, it is beyond any doubt that the fearless master blaster too would be overwhelmed by the turn of events. Sachin took to Twitter to pen down his emotions and wish Arjun all the best for his future.
Sachin wrote that it was an important step for Arjun in his journey and also hoped that he would give the game the deserving respect and would in turn be loved by the game itself. He went on to write that he was sure Arjun won’t stop working hard and finally concluded his two-tweet thread by wishing him the best for his future.
“Arjun, today you have taken another important step in your journey as a cricketer. As your father, someone who loves you and is passionate about the game, I know you will continue to give the game the respect it deserves and the game will love you back,” Sachin wrote.
“You have worked very hard to reach here, and I am sure you will continue to do so. This is the start of a beautiful journey. All the best!” he further added.
