Sachin Tendulkar posts a unique birthday tweet for Zaheer Khan

We all know the usual birthday wishes that we send out to our friends and our loves ones. However, the Master Blaster took the cake with his unique birthday wish on the occasion of the birthday of his former India teammate, Zaheer Khan. India’s most successful left-arm bowler in international cricket turned 42 today. Here’s what Tendulkar tweeted –

The story that the Master Blaster is referring to here is about Zaheer’s birth date. Every year, fans send out their birthday wishes to Zaheer on 7th October while in reality, 8th October is his birth date. Majority of the cricketing sites list his birthday on 7th thus creating the confusion. The phenomenon was evident yesterday (7th October) as many poured their birthday wishes on the left-arm bowler.

Zaheer has represented India in 92 Test matches, 194 ODIs and 17 T20Is. Collectively, he has 610 wickets in international cricket. Making his debut in the year of 2000, the pace bowler played his last match in 2014. He not only shared the Indian dressing room with Tendulkar but they also played for the same domestic cricket team – Mumbai. They also featured together in the IPL for Mumbai Indians.
