Sachin Tendulkar hospitalised as a precautionary measure
India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been hospitalised after he tested positive for COVID-19 on March 27. He confirmed the development from his official Twitter handle. The legend also added that it is a precautionary measure based on medical advice.

“Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup,” Tendulkar tweeted.
2nd April also marks the 10th anniversary of India’s last World Cup triumph. Tendulkar had revealed that winning the World Cup for India was his childhood dream and it finally came to fruition on this day. India defeated Sri Lanka in the high-voltage final which was played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Thus it was in his hometown that Tendulkar realised his dream.
On March 27th, Tendulkar had confirmed the grave news of him testing positive for COVID-19. In a statement released from his official social media handle, he also confirmed that all the other members of his family had tested negative and he had developed mild symptoms. Tons of wishes for his speedy recovery started pouring in from all quarters as soon as the news reached masses.
