South Africa cruised a 3-0 win over India in the three-match ODI series. The final ODI of the series was a thriller that ended with the home side taking the last Indian wicket in the last over. Earlier, Quinton de Kock’s 124 and a fifty from Rassie van der Dussen helped South Africa post 287. India lost wickets regularly but were still moving strongly towards the target. Deepak Chahar’s enterprising fifty got India closer but the hosts prevailed as they bowled India out.

23 – After 23 innings, India finally managed to break the opening partnership of the opposition for a single-digit score in ODIs. The last time it happened was in the 2019 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand.
191 – Fifty-plus scores by Virat Kohli in international cricket. He overtakes Mahela Jayawardene (190) and has the sixth most fifty-plus scores across all formats in international cricket. Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sangakkara, Jacques Kallis and Rahul Dravid are ahead of Kohli.
