Ryan Burl signs contract with Puma Cricket a day after his tweet goes viral
On Saturday (May 22), Zimbabwe cricketer Ryan Burl left the cricket world heartbroken after sharing a picture of his torn shoes. Taking to Twitter, the batsman posted an image of his ripped shoes and asked for sponsorship for his national team so that the players won’t have to glue the shoes back every time a series gets over. Within 24 hours, Burl’s needs were met as sports brand Puma Cricket offered to sponsor him.
Reacting to Burl’s viral post, Puma Cricket’s official account asked the cricketer to take the glue away. Minutes later, the all-rounder confirmed signing a contract with the prominent sports brand. Notably, many cricket fans across the globe offered support to Burl after coming across his post. Overwhelmed by the response, the legs-spinner also expressed gratitude to all his fans and well-wishers.
