Rajasthan Royals made it into the finals of IPL 2022 edition for the first time since the inaugural edition in 2008 as they handed RCB a seven-wicket loss in Qualifier 2. Orange cap holder Jos Buttler came up with another sensational unbeaten century to guide his home while Jaiswal’s 21 and Samson’s 23 helped in a way as well.
Earlier, RCB could manage 157 on the board after losing the toss and Rajat Patidar was the only batter who got going with another half century. Faf du Plessis (25) and Glenn Maxwell (24) could not get to a big score despite getting the starts as the flurry of wickets ensured that RCB ended the plot in the final finish. Obed Mccoy and Prasidh Krishna picked up three wickets each in an impressive bowling show by RR.

Jos Buttler registered his fourth IPL century this season and remained unbeaten on 106 off 60 balls to take his side home in a crucial encounter. The English lad was in sublime touch in the first few overs of the powerplay and managed to bring the required run rate down massively during the run chase. He hit 10 fours and six sixes in his match-winning knock to see his side through.
Prasidh Krishna
Prasidh Krishna came back strong after being hit for three sixes in the final over of Qualifier 1 and showed his class with the ball. The right-arm quick finished with 3 for 22 in his four-over spell including the big wicket of Virat Kohli.
What next for the two teams
Rajasthan Royals with the win will play the Gujarat Titans in the finals of IPL 2022 on May 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad while Royal Challengers Bangalore have been knocked out of the tournament.
