Rohit Sharma’s tribute on AB de Villiers’ all format retirement
As soon as South African legend AB de Villiers announced his retirement from all formats of cricket, fans, and cricketers came in numbers to celebrate his success over the years. Some of the biggest cricket names across the globe stepped up to congratulate him on his splendid career. The latest in line is Indian T20I skipper Rohit Sharma.
Sharma, who is currently leading the Indian side against the New Zealand T20Is, took to his Twitter to talk about AB’s impact on the game. Sharma added that not everyone had the same impact on the game like he did and it was an absolute pleasure to watch him in action from the other side. The hitman concluded by wishing the 37-year-old and his family a good time ahead.
Not many people have had the impact on the game like AB did. It was indeed a pleasure to watch him play from the other side. Happy retirement AB, best wishes to and your family @ABdeVilliers17

‘Our bond is beyond the game and will always be’ – Kohli on ABD
It is known for all that De Villiers spent a great time playing for IPL franchise RCB and his bond with skipper Virat Kohli was there for all to see. Apart from their on-field heroics, they celebrated their adorable bond away from the field too. And, as soon as AB stepped away from cricket, Kohli took to his social media to talk about the best player of his time.
“To the best player of our times and the most inspirational person I’ve met, you can be very proud of what you’ve done and what you’ve given to RCB my brother. Our bond is beyond the game and will always be. This hurts my heart but I know you’ve made the best decision for yourself and your family as you’ve always done. I love you,” said Virat Kohli earlier on ABD.
The Protean had already bid adieu to international cricket back in 2018 but kept playing various T20 leagues across the world.
