Rohit Sharma’s hilarious gesture to skip DRS sends netizens into a frenzy
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been very animated whenever it came to DRS calls in the World Test Championship final. On Day 1 of the final, the 36-year-old asked for DRS without looking at the umpire and on the following day, the opener was cheeky in his approach and attempted for the review but didn’t exactly point the ‘T’ mark. Hence, the on-field umpire didn’t refer to the third umpire as the Indian team were having a laugh at The Oval.
Notably, the incident happened in the 97th over of the match when Alex Carey was batting. Mohammed Shami’s ball hit Alex Carey’s pads, and the Indian players appealed for the same. However, the on-field umpire ruled it out, and that’s when Rohit played a small prank.
