RCB Head Coach Simon Katich showers praise on Dhoni ahead of CSK vs RCB clash
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a legend of the game. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper has led both the Indian cricket team as well as the CSK side to unprecedented success as a leader. While India won the TCC T20 World Cup, the fifty over World Cup as well as the Champions Trophy under Dhoni’s stewardship, the Chennai outfit has won 3 IPL titles under Dhoni’s leadership.
And, on 25th April 2021, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will lock horns against each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. And, ahead of this marquee clash, RCB Head Coach Simon Katich has offered his thoughts on MS Dhoni.
Stating that Dhoni is a master, Katich added that the RCB side has a huge amount of respect for the Chennai side. Katich further said that the CSK side has experienced a fantastic start to their 2021 IPL campaign, and they also have quality players in their arsenal.
Katich also stated that there have been some great matches in Mumbai already in the 14th edition of the IPL, and added that the RCB bowling attack has performed well this season.
“Dhoni is the master, isn’t he? They are sitting at the top with three wins, they have had a fantastic start, they have fantastic players, we have huge amount of respect for CSK, it is going to be a great game, we have seen some great games in Mumbai already. CSK has a very damaging batting line up but we know our bowling lineup has performed well this season,” said Katich in a video released by the RCB side on their Twitter handle.
“Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad are in form and batting well,” says Kane Richardson
RCB pacer Kane Richardson stated that it was enjoyable to finally get onto the field. Richardson also added that he had seen his teammates winning the first 3 matches and he felt good to be a part of a winning team. The Aussie pacer concluded by stating that CSK openers Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad are in good form and the RCB side has to devise plans to stop them.
“It was enjoyable to finally play. It has been good watching the boys play in the first three games but it was good to finally get out there and play and be a part of the winning team. I have been rusty myself, it was great.
It all depends on the conditions at the Wankhede. Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad, are in form and they are batting well, so we will come up with some plans to stop them. They have experience throughout the team, they have won a lot of IPLs so it is going to be a really good game,” concluded Richardson.
