Players give beautiful sneak peek from hotel rooms as team India touches down UK
Indian men and women teams have landed in the UK for their respective assignments in the coming time. Both the team flew together this time in a charter plane arranged by BCCI. The men team will face New Zealand in the World Test Championship finals which will be followed by five-match Test series against England. On the other hand, Indian women will play a one-off Test against the home side in Bristol from June 16.
After landing in the UK, various cricketers started sharing pictures from their rooms. India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha took to his Twitter to share the view from the balcony of his hotel room. The balcony view gave a spectacular look at the lush green stadium. The hotel is located inside Ageas Bowl in Southampton where the WTC final will be played on June 18.
Saha posted the picture with the caption, “That’s our room from the room balcony. Your thoughts?”
Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah also shared beautiful pictures from their respective rooms. Earlier, when the teams were all set to take off, the BCCI posted pictures of Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Mithali Raj, and Jhulan Goswami masked up to begin their travel. This was the first time that men and women teams traveled together in a charter plane.

India men to play Test series against home side after WTC final
Upon their arrival in London, all the members underwent RT-PCR tests and will now undergo mandatory quarantine in Southampton. While the tour for women will end on July 15, the men’s team will stay to play their five-match Test series against England in August- September. After playing their one Test, the women team would also play three ODIs and as many T20Is against the hosts.
Talking about the WTC final, there have been a lot of talks stating that New Zealand will have an edge over India as they are already playing there. However, Kohli made it quite clear that both the team are on equal pedestals.
“In the past, we’ve landed three days prior to the schedule and had a great tour. Conditions are as potent for New Zealand as they are for us. Conditions in Australia should’ve favoured them too. It’s about how you look at things. It’s all in the head,” Kohli said in a pre-departure presser.
