Pakistan to tour Netherlands for an ODI series in July 2022

Pakistan Cricket Team

The Pakistan Cricket Board and the Netherlands Cricket Board have arrived at a decision on the long due ODI series between the two teams, and have scheduled it for the month of July this year. The ODI series, originally scheduled to happen in 2020, was postponed back then due to COVID-19.

The men in green will be touring the Netherlands and the schedule for the same is expected to be announced soon. The series will be a part of the ICC World Cup Super League and an official announcement should come soon after logistical issues are resolved.

The first match of the series could be played on July 28 according to reports in Cricwick. As the COVID-19 pandemic situation has normalized, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is also planning to work out their postponed ODI series against Pakistan. The ACB is in talks with the concerned board, and a decision might be taken soon.

Team Pakistan will continue to play international cricket throughout the season. They will also be facing Sri Lanka for a couple of Test matches and a three-match ODI series in July-August. Post the completion of the series, they will be seen competing in the Asia Cup which will be hosted by the Lankans, starting August 27.

Pakistan and Netherlands to play a lot of international matches

While Pakistan are about to conclude their series against Australia, the Netherlands concluded their ODI series against New Zealand today as they were whitewashed by the BlackCaps. Pakistan, losing the Test series against the Aussies by 0-1, made a comeback with the ODI series after winning it 2-1.

Netherlands will also play a lot of cricket in the near future, as this time around they will be hosting New Zealand for a two-match T20I series on August 4 and 6. The Netherlands will look forward to balancing it against NZ in the T20I game out after losing the ODI series.
