PAK vs AUS: 5 Top Performers ODI series
Pakistan had the last laugh after an enthralling three-match ODI series against Australia and not all went wrong for the men in yellow as well. Australia won the first game by a huge margin dominating in both departments, but Pakistan came back well in the second game to complete a record chase. In the decider, Australia was bundled out for just 210 and Pakistan chased down the score with ease to clinch the series 2-1.
Travis Head
Travis Head was quite fantastic throughout the tour of Pakistan and he has made a real statement to return to the limited-overs side as well with the form he has been in. The left-hander started the ODI series with a marvellous 72 ball 101 in the Lahore ODI and followed it with a 70 ball 89 in the second ODI. He could not add much to the tally in the third game and was out for a duck.
Imam-Ul-Haq
Imam-Ul-Haq finished as the top run-scorer in the series with 298 runs in 3 innings at an average of 149 and scored two centuries and an unbeaten half-century as well. The left-hander played an excellent hand at the top of the order for Pakistan and continued his good form from the Tests as well.
Ben Mcdermott
Ben Mcdermott has relatively had a pretty good series and was among the runs in all three games. The right-hander started the series with a half-century and got to a hundred in the second ODI. However, he couldn’t finish it big and fell for 36 in the final ODI at Lahore but finished as the top run-scorer for Australia in the series.
Babar Azam
Babar Azam won the player of the series award after playing two stupendous knocks in the series for Pakistan. The skipper scored an unbeaten 105 in the final ODI after his magnificent knock of 114 off just 83 deliveries in the second game and played a crucial role in Pakistan’s victory in the series.
Shaheen Afridi
Shaheen Afridi might have played just two games, but he bolstered the bowling line-up for Pakistan once he came in for the second game. The left-arm seamer straightaway had a big impact with a 4-wicket haul. Although he went for a few runs, he was quite good with the new ball in both the games. He finished with 6 wickets to his name in the series at an average of 17.16.
