Off the field: Shreyas Iyer and his funky lifestyle
The young crop of Team India players is completely different as compared to their seniors. Their modern-day lifestyle is poles apart from the older generation of Indian players. Be it flashy cars, funky hairstyles or luxurious watches– the young guns of the national side never shy away from flaunting their extravagant lifestyle in public appearances.
In the age of social media, there have been many instances when a player has hogged the headlines by posting a picture of his luxurious possessions. Shreyas Iyer, like many other players, also has an obsession with cars and sneakers. Time and again, he has flaunted about his prized possessions on his social media handles.

25-year-old Shreyas had recently shared a picture of his jaw-dropping sneaker collection, giving his fans a glimpse of his personal life. He has been quite vocal about his shoes on Instagram and he had shared his picture while sitting in a pool of shoes. “Sole searching #Sneakerhead,” he had captioned the picture. He had flaunted his sneaker paradise comprising top-line shoes like Nike Air Max’s, Air Jordans and Air Force 1’s.
The youngster’s love for Nike sneakers isn’t a secret as he has shared many pictures and clips in the brand’s pairs. Shreyas had once shared a video with a pair of Nike shoes, asking fans to answer some questions and get a chance to win those pairs. He had even reviewed Nike Joyride sneakers in one of his Instagram videos.
Shreyas, who’ll be leading Delhi Capitals side in the upcoming edition of the IPL, is pretty active on social media. Uploading eye-catching pictures while flaunting his shoes and fashion choices is amongst his activities on the internet. He always experiments with his hairstyles too. One can clearly make out Shreyas’ evolution by his change in personality, fashion and hairstyle since his India debut.
Along with sneakers and fashion, Shreyas Iyer is also obsessed with cars. He currently has Hyundai i20 and White Audi S5 and is going gaga over them. “A white Audi S5 that I have wrapped in nardo grey. It really stands out because of this combination. I love speed and when it takes off, it takes off really fast,” Mumbai-born Shreyas had said about the love he has towards his wheels. Regarded as one of the most stylish cricketers in the current India squad, Shreyas made his national debut in 2017 against Sri Lanka and was last seen during the New Zealand tour.
Along with cars and sneakers, Shreyas also has a very special and cherished possession. He has a golden retriever dog ‘Betty’ as his pet, who certainly acts like his stress-buster. During the pandemic, Shreyas had shared many photos and videos with his pet dog. Joining the social media trend, Shreyas had even uploaded a clip where he was seen giving slip catching practice to his dog.
