NZ-W vs IND-W: Harmanpreet Kaur gets dismissed in a bizarre manner
Star Indian batter, Harmanpreet Kaur, registered yet another under-par performance with the bat in the third ODI of the ongoing series against New Zealand. However, more than the dismissal, it is the unusual manner in which the right-handed batter lost her wicket.
The incident happened in the 28th over of the Indian innings after being put in to bat by New Zealand. While facing the off-break bowler in Frances Mackay, Kaur came down the track and pushed the ball back to the bowler. However, the momentum took her further forward as Mackay was quick to throw the ball back to the keeper, who broke the stumps, finding Kaur short of the crease and sprawling on the ground.
The clip of the run-out was posted on Twitter, and the netizens were quick to react. While some called it an unfortunate way to get out the others thought of it being less unfortunate and more to do with the sheer presence of mind.

Regardless of how the dismissal is viewed, it could have not come at a worse time for the flamboyant middle-order batter from India. Kaur has been struggling for runs with a string of low scores to her name in several previous matches. There are also concerns now being raised from various quarters of the cricketing world questioning her place in the side.
